Inspiration: Florals

There's just something about being surround by flowers –and I'm loving this space (a restored convent/primary school turned home to botanical artist Claire Basler) featured in Elle Decoration South Africa this month. Her studio/home in the village of Les Ormes, France is filled with both her beautiful floral paintings and the real thing.  So romantic and avoids the typical clichés.  (Production Martina Hunglinger | Photographs Mads Mogensen).  See more below and in the October/November '12 issue of Elle Decoration South Africa.

Beautiful space, love how those oversized paintings add so much warmth. I've been thinking of wallpaper lately, maybe this is a better (easier) way to go!

Love it. Big big flowers. Have to frame some dried flowers what I have. White backround works surprisingly well. Great space.

wow... love how it feels all jungle-ly with the huge huge flowers... having plants and flowers and botanicals in a home makes a world of difference!
